Specific information and problem solving will be covered in new employee orientation, as well as ongoing training and supervision.

Position Summary:

Plan, develop, organize, and implement HR related duties and functions at the professional level.  Demonstrate leadership in all Human Resources related areas.   Consult with Executive Director on strategic HR related goals and important personnel issues.  Provide direction and support to other members of the senior management team on matters involving personnel.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field. HR certification a plus

  • At least three years of experience as an HR generalist – exempt level preferred.

  • Thorough understanding of local, PA and federal employment laws and government regulations.

  • Understanding of regulations and standards affecting child welfare / mental health agencies and their personnel implications.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to provide training, resolve disputes, and observe confidentiality.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to use computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
